Yes.  There is one (1) available serial port in the rear of the computer.  Do a search for the HP Compaq dc7800 you will most likely find pics of the rear of the computer.  It is a solid device for a SFF and Win7 Pro runs very well - good luck.

Does this support dual-monitors ?

No, not as it stands right now. But you can get an inexpensive USB External Multi Monitor Adapter. It plugs into USB and then supports a second monitor.
I've used one by a manufacturer called Startech , and have been satisfied.

Thank you for your interest in this item. This pc is upgradeable however you would have to upgrade it yourself or with someone who is tech savvy. Simply look up what kind of memory is compatible and have it installed.

what is included in the packaging? first time buyer so basically clueless

Inside the box you will find the workstation itself, a brand-new mouse, keyboard, power cord, and the installation DVD to reinstall Windows 7 if needed. You'll need to provide a display-but aside from that, you have a ready-to-go computer.

All in all, a good deal-however I've bought several of these and had two of them that were labeled as a "Core 2 Duo" that shipped with an inferior dual-core Pentium processor. I still buy this model from time to time-but I would encourage anyone else who does purchase one to double-check the spec's of the computer that you receive to ensure it matches what you paid for.

Yes, the computer has an ethernet port. It also has built-in wireless.

Does this uses a 2.5 laptop size hard drive? or will any size fit?

It has a standard 3.5" HD (I just opened the case and checked).  There appears to be room to add another 3.5" HD as well.  The comp works well for a budget system and it's dead quiet too, which is nice.
