Does this unit have wi-fi?

No. However you could add wi-fi inexpensively and easily with a USB wireless adapter. The only thing I don't like about this computer is an annoying clunking sound from the Hitachi hard drive when it's accessed.  It's not real loud but most hard drives are quieter.  Otherwise I think is a good computer.  I added an inexpensive DisplayPort to HDMI adapter so that I can view it on my large LCD TV too.

Does this unit have an HDMI port?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. My girlfriend has the computer, so can't examine right now. We don't care about movies or TV from a computer, so don't care. I would have noticed odd connectors. This is a really excellent computer at low price. I imagine you could afford to buy a new board.

where are the ports for monitor and printer etc?

Hi Doug,
             Glade to help you out. Look in the back of your PC you will see a blue port with 15 pin holes and there is a Monitor symbol right near it. Plug your Monitor cable in here and tighten the screws firmly. Now for your mouse there is a green round port with a mouse symbol and for your keyboard there is a purple port with a keyboard symbol.
If you have a keyboard and mouse with a USB connector you can plug into any USB input. I hope this will solve your problem.

Is display compatible with regular size PC?

This baby does it all! Much faster than my old PC, the unit is compact and fits easily as a monitor stand. The W7 pro 64 bit is steady as a rock, not one failure in the nine months I have had it. I have used it to work at home, processing mortgage documents, also I work for Hilton doing customer service from my home, using Hilton proprietary software. The display is no different than any other PC, so that's not an issue. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly recommend that you buy it! I can't tell you much I love never crashing, never freezing up, and if i have to open a bunch of documents, as for the mortgage work, you can open around 65 docs before it says no more. Do yourself a favor and snap that deal up.

Did this computer come with an OS installation disk / official serial #?

It came with an OS on it , but it didn't come with a disk. It has the product key sticker on it. I didn't real care myself because I changed what was on it anyway. I just recently up graded to Windows 10.

How do I know what monitor to get?

We have ours hooked to a VGA connection on a 20" widescreen lcd monitor.  Look for a monitor that has a "D-Sub" connection and you should be good.

Although I am not upgrading to Windows 10 for the desktop computers in the office where this unit is being used, it does meet the hardware requirements for Windows 10. And with the valid Windows 7 Pro 64 bit OS, the upgrade should be quite easy to accomplish.

what is the brand of the 1 tb hard drive?

i think it was a seagate but i am not positive. there are really only two possibilities, western digital and seagate. in our experience as a computer service business they are more or less equally reliable these days.
