It says software includes "office" Which version of office and what programs? i.e., 2007, 2010, 2013, Excel, Word, Powerpoint...

my pc came with a version of word perfect - not ms office.
It appears that some configurations may be different as well.  
My buddies pc came with a keyboard that had a CAC reader.  Mine did not.  My drive configuration was also weird with a "C drive" partition with only 39 gig i think.  i had to re-do the partitions to make drive C usuable.  that small partition would have filled up quick.  once i changed that, things seem to be ok so far.

Does this have an HDMI connector?

The unit does not have a built in HDMI connector.  It has a VGA and a Display Port.  You can purchase separately a Display Port to HDMI adapter.
