hi hello sorry to disturb you guys i want to buy this laptop since it has it all and it is not much expensive! my doubt is whether if this laptop comes with a backlit keyboard and what color is it?! see, i always stay up late at night and i want a laptop that lights the keyboard in order to see the letters at night while im working, i hope you guys can answer y question thanks!

Hey Alexis, the laptop is black...at least mine is.  The keyboard is not backlit, but I did a test for you and I can see the keys in total darkness.  The screen is bright, and it seems the keys have a special paint that shows up in very low light????  not sure about that though.  I've had this laptop for awhile now and I just love it.  Hope this answer helps you out.

can i upgrade the ram?

Yes.  But not easily.  The HP site has a service manual.  You have to take most of the PC apart to do the upgrade.  With 6 gig included, I decided not to bother.  I'm happy so far.  Look at the manual on the HP site before you make your decision.

You  need to find out if she will be using some sort of cad  software.  If that's the case my guess is you might want something with a little more processing power.  It's  fine for basic Office type products.
