Is there a square USB plug on this model?

Yes, there is integrated USB.  Which means you have to run usb from your computer to the monitor (the square connection like with most printers) then you gain two regular USB connections on the left had side of the monitor (hard to get to and kind of redundant). Better off with a cheap USB hub. You can see the two usb connections in the photos on Newegg.

Does this moniter have built in speakers?

I've never known this model to have built-in speakers (I've seen dozens of them at work).  None of the three that I've purchased from NewEgg have built-in speakers.

Question 3

Will this USB monitor work with myHP Envy 23 TouchSmart All-in-One PC to use as a dual monitor?  I've been told by HP that this particular unit can't have a dual monitor setup because it doesn't have HDMI in/out port.

Like a laptop owner, you buy an external GPU. Included software drives it through PCs USB port. If yourTouchSmart has a USB port with blue plastic inside, a USB3 to HDMI adaper will lag less than USB2.0 to HDMI. buy a short cord with the big (often white) DVI end for this screen and HDMI end for the GPU box.

Question 4

Does the monitor auto rotate your screen when you pivot it or do you have to use a keyboard shortcup or mouse command to make it rotate when you pivot?

This monitor does not auto rotate but it is very easy to change from landscape to portrait if using as a 2nd monitor.
I may also not have set it up to auto rotate.

The item is brand new. It will come closed in the original retail package with manufacturer seal.

Normally, if the item was refurbished or open box it would be listed on the product page.
