do i have to buy the toner and the wires to connect it separately or does it come with it?

It comes with toner like all printers but it is a reduced capacity toner. No complaints yet as I use it for business all my jobs come vis fax through this machine and it hasn't run out yet in 6 months and my old business deskkjet used to go through ink every month at $50 a cartridge. Came with all wires except maybe an ethernet wire (i could be wrong its been a while) and even if it did come with it it would have been too short. In my experience refurbished are never missing parts only open-box items are. I did have to call HP to update the warranty info from the previous owner though as they did not delete the information or act aware that the unit was re-furbished and re-sold. So make sure you do that for the warranty. And the best feature in my opinion was the automatic double sided printing that is built in. You wont be disappointed.
