Yes but printer not worth purchase. Printer heads clog pretty quick and printer will not print. Went through 2 of these printers. Warranty is a hastle. Not worth purchase. Btw, I was using genuine ink from hp too. Bad printer head setup for this model printer.

Can the HP OJP 8630 perform two sided scans and does this model come with a complete set of replacement ink cartridges?

The printer was a great deal. It prints double sided copies beautifully but I don't know about scans, I've never tried double sided. The printer comes with a full set of cartridges. You can also sign up for an automatic cartridge monitoring and replacement electronically.

Easy setup, including setup for other devices. Extremely pleased with the printer and everything I've done with it.

how do you lift to insert the ink?

On the Left side, there is a notch to put your fingers. From this handle you will lift the scanner glass and access the ink area.
