Can this monitor be connected to a chrome book?

You didn't say which specific Chromebook you have so I cannot answer with 100% certainty. However, the HP P19A only has a VGA (D-Sub) input so you are probably going to have to use an adapter or an adapter cable. Assuming your Chromebook has HDMI and/or DisplayPort video outputs, it should be fairly straight forward. I have various adapters that I use with various computer outputs, VCRs, TVs, etc. Video adapter technology is refined at this point, so it's just a matter of getting the correct one for your specific Chromebook and monitor. I've used the HP ProDisplay P19A for years. I have a couple of them and I cannot say enough good things about them. The price is right and with a 3 year warranty from HP, they're hard to beat for my purposes. Hope this helps.
