This computer is actually Windows 7, it came pre-loaded. Just had to turn it on and it was good to go. Hopefully that helps. It's been a great computer so far. My parents love it.

They would have to be external. There are no open drive bays in the tower.

It has a single DVI port, but not an HDMI.  Has plenty of empty bays and would likely be easy to add.  We are very happy with this machine and it has 8 USBs.

What is the difference between Professional and Premium Windows7?

Home Premium is a functional OS.  Windows Professional includes some features and capabilities not found in Home Premium (like the ability to run Windows Virtual Machine).  If you are a home user, you will probably be happy with Home Premium.  If you are a power user or are trying to become one, you will want Windows 7 Professional.  The 64-bit version will allow you to download the free Windows Virtual Machine from their Web site and run most 32-bit programs that would run under Windows XP.
