Yes. It seems to recognize both networks in the 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz ranges although I haven't tested exhaustively and haven't paid close attention to the specs.

This laptop is a great deal. When I got it, it turned out the supplier had installed a new Seagate Momentus HD. These hybrid drives provide much better performance than traditional hard drives. So it has a great performance for the money.

As to your question regarding memory. You would have to open the case and find the memory bay. Then order 1 (one) matching 2 Gb laptop memory stick and replace 1 of the existing 1 Gb sticks. You could also replace both ram sticks and install 4 Gb instead.

Mind you, the laptop is 32 bit, which means it is not going to make full use of the 4 Gb. The maximum memory it is able to address in the current configuration is about 3.24 Gb. If you want it to address 4 Gb you would need to install a new Windows 7 64 bit.

would this computer be fine for just watching videos and browsing the internet?

Yes; It is a fine computer with some very good specs.  It lacks physical appeal because it is "business class".  It's a workhorse and will do everything you need it to do as far as paying bills, watching videos, creating documents and searching the web.

Its not great for gaming, or any video/high quality photo editing.

Biggest complaint I have with this is that it is bulky and the screen could have been a little bigger for this model.

Yes. 8 Gb max, 4Gb in each slot (2 slots total). You can use 1 Gb, 2Gb or 4 Gb DDR3 1.5v modules.

HP has reported many, many issues with these computers regarding erratic keyboards and headphone jacks not working.  Some suggest it is a conflict with HP internal programs with win 7, some suggest it is defective keyboards.  Included is this model.  Anyone experience this?

can I connect docking station?

I believe the docking station network port is a simple pass-through of the port in the back of the notebook. This means it is simply a wire connection with the exact same IP address and MAC address of whatever is docked in it. You can assign an IP address to the Ethernet drop that you plug into the docking station at your access switch where it connects to the rest of the network. However, I do not think there is any way to assign an IP to the docking station itself.
