Will this install on a HP laptop?

That is a tough question to answer without more info on your particular laptop, but I will say that 2.5" is typical size for laptops.  I have mine in a tower, but it is small enough to fit in my daughter's HP laptop.  I know this does not answer your question 100%, but I think it will likely work.

Does this include disk cloning software?

Nothing ships in the box with it, but I used the free cloning software off of HP's website and it worked just fine.

Can I replace a HD in my old HP Pavilion desktop with this?

Yes , you can. Check please does your motherboard support SATA III connection, if not(supports only SATA II), it's not big jump in speed from old HDD to SSD.

Has anyone been successful in getting a warranty check on this HP S700 SSD?
We purchased 3 of  these HP S700 120GB SSD’s with a 3 yr warranty.
But when we went to check warranty expiration, all we got was error message’s.
AS to bad serial number, bad product number, etc. We put in the correct information numerous
Times and on different days thinking HP’s web site was broken the first time we tried 
Would someone PLEASE…… reply to this question as to did it work for you.

As a build-time option, this item is warrantied only by the integrator (install tech contractor)....I guess that's you.

Is this drive MLC or TLC?

TLC -- works fine.  TLC - triple layer
