Can this sound card fit into a PCI-E slot? (like what graphics card use)

Technically no. But you can make it work with a PEX1PCI1 card. I have one and it works awesome! When you do this you will need also use 3x right angle 3.5 ext cords as the card raise up and your case will cover the holes. This is currently the best sound card on the US market. Totally compatible with Windows 8 and 8.1. -  BUT... you will have to download the W8 drivers directly from their website (they are not on the installation disk):

Be careful here, too. There are many drivers here, so make sure you identify your product (exactly) and carefully look for the matching driver.

Yes but not directly supported.  I use one in a X79 Asus Black which has no PCI ports.  Almost all DDR4 motherboards will not have PCI ports either.  You will need to buy a "1 Port PCI-e to 4 X PCI Expansion Enclosure" these are not cheap but I would highly recommend it.

1) Is this unit the Claro Halo XT package as indicated on the HT Omega site product ID CLARO halo XT.

2) Having a ASUS P5EWS Pro MoBo w/ Dual-Boot Windows XP & Windows 7 installed and no Drivers available from ASUS for Windows 7 Support. Will there be any compatibility issues in either Boot?

I have not had any compatibility issues period.  I have run it on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1.

What is the difference between this card and the HT Halo non XT?

Scott , the HT OMEGA CLARO HALO  XT comes with an extra card that will need a slot and connects with a 20 pin connector . It will extend "analog" output to 7.1 channels. It has 6 RCA jacks .
SIDE L & R, CENTER, S.WOOFER, BACK L & R .  If you want to extend "analog" output to 7.1 channels using external amplifiers you will need the XT. If you will only be using digital (S/PDIF)
you will not need the XT. The non XT has stereo "analog" .
