is it useless without the install software ?

I have had this drive for around 5 months. It took me a few formats of this ssd to get my os to register the drive and install. Since that initial headache I have had 0 problems with this drive. I have never had to use any install software on this drive. On a side note bios identified this drive instantly. Something about windows 8.1 dident like this drive at first. Upgraded to Windows 10 as soon as the option was available. Have had no issue at all with Windows 10.

no install kit ? how do I get around this ? do I have to return it? This is my first SSD

I use Acronis clone software to the existing drive in the computer.  Some drive manufactures have software available to clone drives.  I would look around at some of major drive manufactures to see if software is available for free download. I would suggest Western Digital, good luck.

Did it come with all accessories listed, SATA to USB cable, software, screwdriver, mounting bracket?

This not the package that has the external case and cables. This package has all needed items just to install into the computer case.
Bracket, screws, height adapter, sticker and number key for the transfer software. (N82E16820104552)

I wish that it was clearly stated that if I already don't have the software I cannot install ?

I am not sure what you are referring to as the "software". There is no need to have software to install the drive. Your operating system should have whatever is needed for preparation of the drive for use.
If you are referring to transferring your present operating system and and data then that will be up to the manufacturer of the drive to supply it. Some will and this will be in a "package" which may include other things too, such as a holder, screws for mounting, etc.  If the manufacturer does not include the software then it us up to you to obtain what is needed.

Kingston’s HyperX Savage is an interesting SSD that endeavors to provide a cost-friendly high performance storage solution alongside something other companies have struggled to achieve: long term performance endurance. In many ways it succeeds in doing exactly that but most benchmarks simply won’t show that.

When potential buyers are looking for SSDs, one of the last things they typically think about are the controllers being used in various solutions. They put raw speed, read / write endurance, pricing and warranty length on a “must have” list but the Savage proves why controller selection should be a major deciding factor as well. While Indilinx, Intel, SandForce and others are well regarded, Phison is a relative unknown but the relative strengths of their new PS 3110 controller are noteworthy. The Savage takes a back seat to other potentially less expensive SSDs when fresh out of the box but outside of a completely virgin state, the PS 3110’s abilities truly begin to shine through. As it fills up with data the Savage was able to overtake some of the best drives available today. do you think it removes the warranty if you put the stiker on the stiker on the back of the ssd?

Why would you do that is the question, it might cause the sticker on the SSD to come off.

It is listed as TLC on the information at a prominent website that I cannot mention on here.  However it combines the name Toms and the word hardware.  Hope that helps.
