Question 1

I have a pretty big head, will these fit an above average head size person?

Yes they will. The headset itself is surprisingly flexible. Just lightly pulling both ear sections In different directions they expand to roughly 1 foot of space between. Width won't be a problem.
If your head is really tall / the distance from ears to top of your head is alot then that might be a problem. The middle band the headset uses has stretchy cable that allows it to expand or contract. Only about 4-6 inches or so. If you have a really tall head then you might want to try the headset before you buy it at some gaming store or retailer before purchase.    Hope this helps.

Question 2

Okay, so I am going to start streaming, is the mic good?  I also have a noisy house... Will it pick up a lot of surrounding sounds?

Hi Alex,

I stream a decent amount and can honestly say that the retractable mic on the Siberia v2 is pretty terrible. It doesn't pick up a lot of background noise, so in that respect it is good. However, it seems to have a very high gain level (maybe you can adjust this in Windows recording devices, not sure). I noticed my voice is somewhat muffled and crackly with this mic.

I have been reading that the USB connector seems to be giving problems to atleast some of the users. Is this something common to the siberia v2 series or to the frost edition specifically?

I never had an issue with it, these thing are awesome...had them a little over 6 months..daily use...no problems yet. Highly recommeneded

Is this painful after extend gaming sessions, also is it painful with glasses?

I have had these for a while now and I wear glasses  I sometimes forget i have these on cuz they dont move around much and so light.  The most ive gamed in a day is 4-6 hours though.

Does this headset have the option for 7.1 surround sound?

I don't know, I don't care about 7.1 anymore I gave up on 7.1 on headset since its almost impossible to get a true 7.1 work on a headset. But this one I would say average sound quality, also it can take a beating, i mistreated it and the cable that came with it, and I'm telling you it is sturdy and its cables too.
