I need to know if this has the old serial ports for an old PC?  I have to help my parents get something off a very old PC.

No, you would use this keyboard with an adapter to convert the ps/2 serial to full serial with the round about 1/2" plug.  This site sells adapters to  to do this  as  well as the full serial keyboard  as I have gotten them here.

is there an adapter made for the male plug on the keyboard cable? Thanks.

NewEgg has adapters to change the ending from PS/2 to AT or USB  or full serial.  I've gotten adapters here for years  as I have pc computers going back to 8086 and keyboards break down eventually.

What are the dimensions of this keyboard?

The dimensions are 16 7/8 imches long by 4 3/4 wide but 5 inches by the spacebar.  The thickness is approx 3/4 inches.  Hope this helps.
