I have an AMD motherboard on my PC build, will this be compatible?

I poked around to answer your question as my board was an intel.  However, it looks as if they are compatible.  I base this on several things the first and primary on which all others are built is that wi-fi adapters seem to be made fairly universal i.e. they are designed to be universal.  As such even though it is intel you shouldn't have an issue getting the devices to communicate now on the flip side of that I would be prepared to have to hunt down the proper driver for the build.

Question 2

I am trying to replace my atheros ar5bwb225 that came with my acer aspire s3 951. It is a mini pci e card. Is there any compatibility issues i should look for or will this card work as a replacement?

I used this card as a replacement for whichever one came with my wife's Asus X53U laptop, but I do not remember the model number of the one I replaced. There should be no compatibility issues as long as you are running Windows 7 or later, you just need to download the proper drivers, which are not hard to find.

Question 3

Will this module support a 5 ghz wifi band?  Before my wireless module went out in my laptop, I was the only person on 2.4 ghz (my router broadcasts both 5 and 2.4), would this chip let me access the better half of the network?

No. This adapter is will only work in the 2.4 GHz  band.
