This seems like an important question, but I can't find the answer anywhere. How can I find out if my mSATA slot support SATA 6.0 Gb/s. All I can find for my chipset (Intel 7 series/C216 chipset) is that I have two SATA III 6.0 Gbps (ports 0 and 1) and some additional SATA II 3.0 Gbps. What to do if I want to know what's available specifically for mSATA?

You'll need to look at the specs for your system board rather than the chipset. For example, the motherboard manufacturer might choose to make one of the SATA III ports physically available on a standard SATA connector, and one on an mSATA connector. Or perhaps both of the SATA III interfaces might be standard SATA connectors...does that make sense?
