I am unfamiliar with Alienware hardware. I cannot advise you to disassemble any part of your computer as that might void your warrantee. However this Intel wifi adapter was a perfect fit and upgrade for my HP pavilion 15T notebook. Make sure the new adapter is compatible with your existing adapter by referencing your laptop maintenance or owners manual, or by contacting Alienware tech support and obtaining the motherboard specifications from them directly before purchasing a new adapter.

Would this be compatible with a dell optiplex e6420? or should I just buy and External antenna?

It is a half size pci-e mini. Just from a google search it looks like it should fit and replace the existing card. Then it is just a matter of making sure you are running an operating system that has drivers for the new card. Windows 7 or later should be fine.

I would like to know if this card is compatible with my ASUS R510CA_RB51 win 10 laptop. I want to take advantage of 5mp wifi speeds.?

First open up the laptop. I would make sure I have a compatible slot available by looking for the same type of WiFi card.   This being your old slower WiFi card. Then note the antenna wires. Make sure you know what colors are used for WiFi and Bluetooth.  Sometimes a tech manual will be able to tell you what the colors are, or the laptop might have the wires marked with tags.  If you need anymore help, just write.

I'm sorry that my answer may not be of a great help to you, however I did install the same wireless card in a Dell XPS L502x running windows 10 64-bit, and true to its specs it did increase the wireless performance and range.

Is this card compatible with a Toshiba Satellite S855 series laptop AND are the drivers available on the manufacturer's website?

The best way to find out is Google disassembly of that laptop and see if it looks the same or call the manufacturer with the model number and ask if it is. Or you I have 4 of these in different laptops and they are awesome for wifi.

Since everyone seems to be asking the same general question about laptops... I am going to ask an actual question that needs answering from ASUS directly or someone else that can help me answer. I recently purchased an ASUS MAXIMUS IX HERO motherboard and in the specifications it implies that a m.2 (Key) wifi module can fit on the board BUT DOESN'T come with the actual board. Now the question. Will this fit in an M.2 PCIe slot? (Same place where NVMe Storage drives go)

It should fit in the m.2 WiFi slot next to the I/O shield. Otherwise it's not compatible with the M.2 slots for the storage devices.

You have to be careful with HP as they whitelist different WiFi adapters making it problematic unless you buy directly from HP.

there is no current microsoft official  compatible driver for windows 10. But there is a fix found on the web  when using the  latest driver posted on the tplink site

I cannot find the whitelist for compatible network cards anywhere and I want to upgrade from N to AC wireless connectivity,please Help.

From what I could tell you currently have an Atheros AR9285 which is almost the same adapter I upgraded from in my Asus without an issue.  It also looks like you can use the driver from Sony linked below (you'll have to remove the spaces because neweeg doesn't allow links) for a VAIO VPC model notebook so I don't see you having a problem. You will probably have to contact hp.  You might get lucky if they sell that exact card as a option on the laptop, but I've heard of the exact same wifi module model not working due to the oem keying the firmware.
