Ye.. you can run both 32 bit as well as 64 bit Windows. Also you will see only 3.4GB with 32 bit Windows

Windows 10 home can be upgraded to professional right inside Windows itself. It’s very quick and easy. There are many HOWTOs online-just google “upgrade windows 10 home to professional” and it should take you to a good tutorial on windows central dot com.

Windows 7 is dead - get over it. Windows 10 works very well. I don't think you will find drivers for Windows 7 to install on this device - and I think yo can buy a version without windows and run Linux but check the Intel website for full details...

What is the max capacity for the SD card slot? Any memory compatibility issues? What brand works best with it?

I would check the Intel website for spec on max SD card size, I'm using 128GB Extreme (class 10) and it works great.
