Will this fit on an ASUS Gryphon z87 motherboard?

Hey Greg, I looked up the specs on the Gryphon board. "Great board" btw.... and yes, I do believe the card will fit the board.
The Intel card uses a PCIe slot which the board has an available PCIe 2.0 running at x4.
I currently have this exact card running in a server, whose board has the same specs on its 2.0 expansion slot.

The card works great and I would definitely recommend it.

Yes this is a low profile adapter,(NIC).....just to warn you,..it does not come with a software disc.....just a piece of paper with a web link to where you can get the driver,...this adapter does work very well.....

Does this come with a low-profile format for a SFF unit?

Mine did come with the low profile adapter in the box. But, it had the standard adapter on it from the factory. So you would have to swap them out. But, yes it came with a low profile adapter.

Installed it in an ASUS sabertooth 990fx running vista 64, device manager recognizes it as an ethernet controller, and the bios popup shows its installed however device manager does not recognize it as "intel." Driver autorun does not offer any installation options. any ideas how to manually install the drivers? having no luck with the usual GUI click and install stuff.

You have to download the latest drivers from Intel's website. Simply search for EXPI9301CT and download from there. Hope this helps.

I have Windows 10 64-bit, but it is my own build-up rig, and I am not using this adapter here.

How do I get my computer to recognize new internet board ?  Can't find any drivers for this one on INTEL website when I go to their website to get.

This particular PCI Express x1 card has an Intel 82574L chipset.

The driver you need is at the Intel site under "Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter".

You need to select the driver for the Windows version and bit version your computer is running - which you failed to mention.

Has anyone used this NIC  on 2008 Server? Are Server 2008 Drivers available?

I've run it in production HP DL380 servers running 2008 & 2008 R2 with hyper-v for several years. I've never had a problem with it.  but I can't remember if the driver was 2008 specific or if it was listed as server 2003 and newer.

It looks like the ASRock has a compatible card slot.  Don't know what OS you are installing, you may need to verify you can get OS compatible drivers(I am primarily a Linux guy, but most newer Windows versions should work).
