what is the maximum frame rate (fps) for 1080p video capture (24,30,60,120 fps)?

It's ZERO! Joule itself supports 4K capture but video capture is not possible via the included expansion board. The HDMI port is output only.

What is the power consumption of the module?

From the datasheet Table 6, the peak power consumption is about 23W (if you take the maximum current for each supply rail) but expect the average to be lower (maybe much lower depending on CPU and GPU load, down below 1W at idle).

When will this product be available?

If Newegg is out today (8-sep-16) they must have sold out the initial lot. I'm not an Intel guy, so I don't know when more will be available. We haven't been able to do much, as the BIOS seems to prevent installing other OSes other than the custom Intel/Ubuntu it ships with. We are waiting on Intel and MS for more info.

There does not appear to be an Ethernet connection of any kind.  What are the options to attach one?

No ethernet...use wireless or a usb to ethernet ...its a drawback but then it was meant that way to keep the overall size of board smaller

Will it include a power supply adapter?  If not, what can you use to power it?

The Joule Development Kit does not include a power supply.  the Joule User Guide says use a  "12V, 3A power adapter (power adapter must be Listed LPS or Class 2 output rated, 12Vdc, 3A minimum) with barrel jack for powering the expansion board. The barrel dimensions are 5.5mm outer diameter, and 2.1mm inner diameter. The barrel length is 9.5mm. The plug is positive center."     This newegg 2A adaptor should work: 9SIA3M32HJ2476

what are the specs on the audio interfaces?  what is the DSP sample word size (16,24,32 bits)?  what is the DSP sample rate (44KHz, 48KHz, 96KHz, 192KHz)?

Cant find it, but for the last Atom processor, Cherry Trail, maybe similiar.   Google   "atom-z8000-datasheet-vol-1.pdf"  Chapter 14 has detailed I2S specs.
