Do you have to use two monitors with this KVM or can you use just one?

This switch allows your monitor, keyboard, mice, trackballs, flash drives, printers etc to be hooked up to two different computers, one at a time, switchable with a touch of a button on the switch. Two buttons, one for each computer.
