Does it work with win 10?

Yes, I upgraded to Win 10 many months ago and I haven't had any issues.  I didn't see any change in performance from Win 8 to Win 10.  The other PC that I'm using with the KVM is my company issued laptop with Win 7.

Does it work with a Apple Mac X and windows 7?

Considering that I am using this between PC's that are using Vista, WIN7, and WIN10; this works with all above Windows platform. As for MAC, I have no idea.

Question 3

Is this device powered by the usb port.?   Will it work if I don't plug either usb cables as I only want to switch the DVI-D video

by default it does run on the usb port, but there is a power port that uses the old mini usb format, no idea if that will work for only video or not....

Does it work with a mechanical keyboard?

Sorry, I am not using it with the mechanical keyboard. I don't see why it wouldn't. if the keyboard was USB, the signals should be the same.
