does it have a switch indicator light?

There is not a switch indicator light. There are 2 buttons and can easily see the the one button lower position (active button) than the other . Similar to a button light switch

can you plug in a usb multiport adapter with this to switch everything on the adapter and not just one device?

This A-B switch allows you to select one of two paths between input & output. I have a mouse keyboard combo on the input side, that connects to computer A or B on the output side. You should be able to use a USB port extender, but I would check the current carrying requirements of the port extender.

Can this be used to share a Logitech mouse-keyboard combination via the USB SetPoint receiver with two computers?
