Why do you not mention that this could be hooked to a powered usb hub and provide many devices to the (4) computers? Isn't this possible?

Answer: No, because the appropriate cord to the 4 port hub are for printers only. No other devices will take that type if cord. Even if they did, what would be the purpose? (2) All hubs draw power from the computer their hooked up to. They don't mention it because it's implied. In a nutshell, this device was invented for running up to four computers with only one printer.
