Question 1

Can two peripherals be two printers? I assume so.

It's really set up for up to 4 peripherals to be switched between two computers.  I use a mouse and keyboard.

I haven't tried putting the COMPUTER USB out as one of the four peripheral USB inputs.  It would probably work.  In fact i guess you could switch up to 4 computers between two different USB printers, but that doesn't really make sense and I don't think it was designed for that.

Question 2

Looking for a devise that will allow one computer to switch between two identical devises where only one can be see by the driver at any one moment?

Well, if I understand your question correctly, I don't think this will work.  I own this unit to switch my keyboard and mouse between two different computers.

If you plugged in only one computer, but had two (identical) devices to it, it would only connect/disconnect both devices at the same time.

For example if it was two printers, but one computer, when you clicked the switcher, both printers would be attached, and then clicked the switcher again, both printers would be then disconnected.

I think you need a different type of gizmo.   Good luck!

Question 3

Does this device pass hardware identifiers through?  I want to connect my keyboard & mouse to this to switch between my two Mac towers.  I tried an IOGear KVM, but it doesn't pass the device ID's through, so OS X didn't know that I had a Mighty Mouse, so none of the special functions worked.

To the best of knowledge it does - I have a Cyborg R.A.T.3 Mouse and  Das Keyboard connected behind this and my windows PC detected both. This is what I went with after my IOGear KVM went belly up. Can't guarantee functioning with OS X though.

Will this work for the XBOX One, regarding keyboard and mouse input?

Let me qualify this answer by saying I am not an Xbox One expert. However if you are keyboard and mouse plug directly into the Xbox and work now then splitting them up with a different node using this device will be fine

Question 6

I need to share one Thermo Printer between two PC's
Tried the GUB211 with auto switching... but it did not work and was confirmed by iogear that do to the software employed by FedX and the Zebra printer it would not work. iogear suggested the GUS402.

Any opinions?

I'm using this to switch my mouse, keyboard, and usb headset between PC with no issues.  Only a slight (less than second) pause after pressing the channel button.  As for a printer, if it's usb, I don't see why it wouldn't work?  Just as long as the printer's software (if used) is installed on both pc that you are switch back and forth too, shouldn't be an issue I would think.  Cheers.
