I have only 1 VGA Port and want to be able to use 2 monitors, will this make that possible?

I just bought a Dell Optiplex 780 with intigrated display and I would like to use 2 monitors what would be the cheapest way for me to do that? Can you suggest some options? Thanks!

Can this product make my latop screen + two monitors work at the same time?

That is a good question... The answer can be Yes. If you have a VGA out on your laptop and you set it up to duplicate the display to the VGA out. (Often it is Fnct + F8) Then you can use the splitter to have your laptop and two external monitors display the same thing. This does Not extend your desktop space. It only mirrors what is on one monitor to another.

I have one output on my computer for a VGA connection. Will this allow me to split the signal to two monitors and I will be able to view two different screens of data at the same time? I just purchase a VGA cable from one output to two but it only allowed my so see the same things on both monitors. I need to be able to view tow different screens of data at the same time. Steve

This is designed to take one output from your PC and replicate to two screens. If you use a second VGA Output device (USB to VGA), you can use this device to split two different screens of information on your PC to two different viewing screens
