Does anyone have a problem with just on power cabel running 4 SSD's?

No problems at all. I have a similar cage with a different brand in another computer that uses a single power cable as well and it's fine. It's worth noting that most of those power cables have 2-3 drive connectors anyhow and that SSD's typically use a lot less power than HD's (especially when HD's first spin up and can draw an amp or more each).

Does this work with 15 mm thick drives? The description here claims it does; but I just received my unit and the included manual states a maximum of 14.5 mm. I got this with the intention of using it with Seagate ST4000LM016 drives, which are sold as 15 mm thick drives. I haven't purchased the drives yet, so i can't test them in the enclosure. So, has anyone tried this unit with a ST4000LM016 or some other 15 mm thick drive?

I am using 12.5mm WD drives in mine and they look to be the thickest drive this cage can accommodate, I don't believe the 14.5mm will fit without scraping the label off the top

Can you use this for ssd drives?

YES, the BPU-124DE-SS can be used with SSDs. The package (form factor) is the same as 2.5 inch hard drives. My SSD - a PNY 240 GB - has screw holes on both the bottom and sides, so it will work anywhere you can plug in a hard drive. The SSD is thinner but that does not matter.

Can you purchase extra trays?

I've never seen individual trays for sale, but have seen reasonable used prices for the entire item. I've also seen a different brand with extra trays available, but the iStarUsa quality of construction is definitely the best for these and 3.5" drive cages.
