Consisting of a fixed rack and a removable enclosure, this kit offers a flexible solution for you to protect and access your data. The fixed rack is engineered to fit into an external 3.5" drive bay and interface with a motherboard via SATA cable (included). The removable enclosure houses a 2.5" HDD/SSD, and then slides into the fixed rack thus giving you access to the drive via SATA connectivity. The detachable enclosure, which can be easily ejected with a press of a button, also comes equipped with a USB 3.0 port enabling it to server as an external HDD.
The separate rack/enclosure design is ideal for users who have to physically secure and lock their drives when offline, or for those needing to access their data while on the go. The enclosure is made of aluminum, delivering efficient dissipation, and superb strength and durability to withstand on-the-road use.
