Yes, you can hold "Display Color" button until your favorite color appears, then release the button and the color will freeze.

No, it doesn't need AAA batteries. It MUST plug in to work with adapter(included.) Because LED lights need much power to work. If you use battery, it needs to replace very often. However, there's a CR2032 battery inside for setting memory.

Yes, it comes with a remote control. You can set DST, display color, adjust time and brightness easily.
