How to use ?
1. Before use, please confirm whether the clothes or bags you want to repair can be ironed with an iron! If not, please use sewing;
2. Adjust the temperature to the temperature suitable for the clothes you want to repair (usually 300°F, 150°C) according to the method of using the iron, and preheat it;
3. In order to prevent the embroidery thread from being damaged by high temperature, you can cover a thin cotton cloth on the embroidered letter patches (must be a non-fading cotton cloth);
4. Put the iron on the letter patches covered with thin cotton cloth and iron it back and forth for 30-50 seconds, repeatedly pressing back and forth several times;
5. Then turn to the reverse side, and iron the letter appliques and the attached part for 20-30 seconds, so that the backing glue of the patches is fully heated;
6. After ironing, let it cool and finish! If you want the embroidered letter patches to be firmer, you can use the same color thread to sew a few stitches.
Warm Tips
- If the clothes are washed frequently or you are worried that the patch will fall, use a needle thread to sew a few stitches on the edge of the letters.
- Certain fabrics are not suitable for securing by ironing; it is recommended to use needle and thread for fixation instead. Examples include: smooth synthetic fibers (such as umbrella fabric, some down jacket shells), coated fabrics (like windbreakers), stretchy materials, overly thick or fluffy fabrics (such as woolen cloth, felted wool, thick-knit sweaters), as well as very lightweight or delicate fabrics (like silk, chiffon, and gauze—high temperatures during ironing can damage these materials).
- Recommended fabrics: Heat-resistant materials with no or minimal stretch and a rough surface, such as cotton, linen, denim, and canvas.
- The ironing temperature and pressure of the hanging iron are not enough, which causes the sticking to be weak, so it is not recommended to use!
