The Creosote Sweeping Log (CSL) an effective solution for maintaining your chimney while enjoying your fireplace. This log burns like a standard fire log, reducing dangerous creosote build-up in fireplaces and wood stoves. Use the CSL every 50 fires or at least once a year to help prevent chimney fires. Accepted by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) and UL approved, it burns for approximately 90 minutes, heating the tar on chimney walls and releasing mineral-rich smoke that breaks down creosote over 15 days. Suitable for all chimney types, including stainless steel, and can be used with wood/oil-burning furnaces.
