Is it compatible with Sony Vaio laptops?

I just bought this Kensington Combination Laptop Lock. I use it for a system76 computer, not a Sony Vaio. Your question should actually be directed to Sony, however. I understand that the lock complies with a Standard for devices. If Sony Vaio also complies with this Standard, then you are most likely okay. If Sony does not comply with the Standard, then you will have to find a lock specifically built for the Sony Vaio.

I doubt that Sony would make a laptop with a slot for a lock that did not comply with this Standard (and, thus, would not be compatible with this lock). In other words, if Sony says that the Vaio has a slot for a lock, I would assume that this lock would work with the Vaio, unless Sony specifically states otherwise.

Question 2

Can the combination be changed once the unit is locked into the Kensington slot on a laptop?

Instruction said to set it to 0000. Then use a paper clip to turn the pin at the end of the lock 90 degrees to the right. Then put in desired code. Then turn the pin back to the left 90 degrees.  So you would need to unlock the lock before changing the code again.

Can I use this with MacBook Pro?

The question is really whether your MacBook Pro has a security slot for a lock at all. If it does, then this lock will likely work as there is essentially only one standard out there for locks and slots. If you do not have a security slot, then rumor on the Internet is that you can get some sort of adapter to add a slot (a loop through a fan opening?) to use this lock. Google "Kensington MacBook Pro lock slot" and you will find the answers.
