Is this PC compatible?

Yes.  The unit comes with a USB dongle receiver that plugs into a PC.  Windows & recognized it and that is all I had to do.  Works perfectly each time that I use it, which is quite often.

Can I use this to remotely control a dvd on my computer that is connected to a large screen television?

What this and similar remotes do is use a USB port to send one or more simulated keystrokes to a computer, such as page down or left cursor.  This isn't what you need.  It would be possible to get a programmable remote to generate whatever keystrokes you need for your DVD, but televisions are not set up to take commands from USB ports, even if they have one.

what color is this laser??  Also will this remote presenter work
Without the antenna /USB dongle??

It employs the typical red laser most pointers use.

It will not work without the dongle! That is the antenna needed for connectivity. It is not a Bluetooth setup, so your built in Bluetooth antenna will not cover. However, this has good connectivity for to about 100', so works well in auditoriums, gyms, and the like.
