Overall Review: Let me preface by saying that I've used the Kingston Elite Pro 2 gig cards for 3+ years. I'm a pro photographer, and I have 10 of the 2 gig cards. I've shot literally 100s of thousands of photos onto them and have been very happy with them. Unfortunately the 8 gig cards are obscenely slow. If you shoot bursts, you WILL OUTSHOOT these cards. I shoot a 1D mark 2. If I shoot rapidly (not even high speed drive, just rapid single-fire shooting), as soon as you use up your buffer you will be stuck and unable to shoot while the card writes out the buffer. And this is on Medium Jpeg. These cards simply can't keep up, unless you are shooting landscapes or something slow. for my purposes, shooting sports, these are worse than useless. there is nothing worse than framing up a shot and then not being able to take it because these terrible cards haven't caught up with your buffer yet.
