How will this work with a Samsung Note 3?

I installed this MicroSD card in my ASUS Transformer Book T100TA-C1-GR Touchscreen 2 in 1 with windows 8.1. I experience no problems. I also installed 32 Gb microSD cards in Dell tablets and experienced no trouble with the SD cards. So, I would not  expect any problems if a microSD is used in a Samsung Note 3. However, you might check if there is a limitation on how much memory can be addressed by the android OS system that is on your device.

Will this work with a reg SD micro card "reader adapter" or do I need to by another adapter  also ?

Most usb based readers work fine with this.  I have a knockoff usb reader that was from before the xc standard released and it works just fine.  Just make sure you device you use it on (ie camera or tablet) support it.

Does it work with Samsung S4 Mini?

I believe the answer is yes, the Samsung S4 Mini specs show that it does support up to 64GB SD which would be an SDXC.  The exception they make in the specs however is:
*** External Memory may be used to store media (photos, video, and music files) but not applications.
This was found on the UK spec sheet

I am sorry- I do not know.  I have 2 64GB's- one in my HTC One M8 and one in a Samsung tablet. Both work well, fast enough for me. Kingston has a comparison chart with speeds (google search since NewEgg will not allow links in answers), but I am not sure which card. So, read is "up to" 30 or 90MB/s and up to 45MB/s write. They do make the point that Class 10 is minimum 10MB.s data transfer.

I have used the memory card in my Samsung galaxy s4 for well over a year, without any issues.  The s5 accepts the same memory card, so compatibility shouldn't be an issue. I believe I received the SD adapter with the memory card, however I haven't used the adapter.
