I just want to be sure that my heads on straight, and unfortunately the picture doesn't show this so is the other side of this male with 15 pins sticking out?

will this product work with a Dell E-Port Simple - port replicator? I have several laptop users that use these with one vga monitor and I'd like to offer them another vga monitor.

Some of the DVI ports support digital only. I think it depends more on the particular laptop and not necessarily the port replicator. This adapter did not work for me. I needed this particular one since it does not have the 4 pins surrounding the broad one, like I see on the replicator. I have not followed through to know if my DVI port supports VGA or not, but I thought it came with an adapter originally.

I just tested it on another computer with no luck. When I used another adapter, with the extra pins, it worked. The monitor cable I use otherwise does not have the 4 pins. So this adapter may be bad which makes this info pointless, unless it keeps you from buying a dud also.

my dell 3007wfp monitor has 24 pin digital-only DVI-D. will this connector work with my regular 15 pin  monitor cable?

Yes it will. The adapter converts 15 pin to DVI. 
I am not famialir with the 3007wfp monitor, so make sure that is a 24+1 female connector, since not all DVI have the +1 configuration.

I have a couple of monitors that I plan to use. I am not sure if they will be compatible with this. if I give you the model numbers will you be able to cross reference them?

You'll need to know what version of DVI your monitor is; e.g., is it DVI-D or DVI-I, etc.  analog or digital?  Google search DVI standards and use that info to match the plug to the device.

If I forward a picture to you, would you be able to match this up? I think this is the part I need but cannot be sure by looking at this picture.
