The story takes place during Mysterious era; a time full of miracles beyond human comprehension and incomparable happiness.
The "Mysterious" series develops around Four alchemists who Live in a world Full of mysteries, mixing heartwarming everyday elements with extraordinary experiences involving a "mysterious book", a "mysterious journey", and "mysterious paintings".
The series Features coming-of-age stories in which the protagonists meet unique Friends and achieve their goals as alchemists; a synthesis system that includes puzzle elements; and fields that makes players feel like they are exploring a variety of Locations.
The "Mysterious" series contains the Following three games:
- Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book
- Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey
- Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings
Together with Sophie and Plachta, the two alchemists who she meets by chance, Firis ventures to the outside world and learns alchemy from Sophie.
In order to take the official alchemy license exam in a year, she must search for “licensed alchemists” in the towns and villages she visits, practice her alchemy skills, complete tasks, and collect recommendation letters.
Firis has a modest dream of traveling freely in the outside world. After she encounters alchemy and is able to leave her hometown, she is taken with an everlasting mysterious journey.
