Yes, the LG 24GM77 does use pulse-width modulation (PWM) and that can cause flicker for some users, but this is also how LG reduces motion blur in their "Motion 240". If you are even thinking of not buying this monitor, you might want to get a CT-Scan. Most people including myself don't have an issue with flicker, and the vibrant colors are fantastic.

Question 2

Is this monitor vsync, Gsnyc or Freesync? I don't see any indications anywhere it's one or the other.

This monitor does not incorporate either NVIDIA's Gsync or AMD's Freesync technologies, which require additional specialized hardware build into the monitor. Vsync is a separate technology that allows the GPU to match the frame rate of the monitor, which is independent of the monitor technology, and it works perfectly well on this model.

Recommended for those ready to experience this things awesome power. Not for the weak gamers. I let my little brother play on this thing and it was so amazing he's been crying in a corner of his room ever since. My cat jumped up and looked at it one time and all its fur erupted off like a firework and it gave birth to 6 kittens even though it's a boy cat. I grandmother glanced at it a week ago, her funeral is this Friday. Yes it's good for cs:go.

Is this a 3D monitor?

No, this is not inherently designed as a 3D monitor. Because it is capable of running 120 or 144Hz, however, it would potentially be compatible with some of the older frame-splitting 3D rendering technologies. This has not been tested, to my knowledge.

Question 5

I had two questions on size.   Can someone please measure the monitor.

1st) How many inches wide is the monitor including the plastic on the sides?   I want to know the width so I know if it will fit on my desk.

2nd) How many inches high is the screen, do NOT include the height of the plastic on the top and bottom.  I just want the height of the display screen by itself.    I want to compare to the height of my current monitor which is a non-widescreen.   I want to get a widescreen monitor with atleast the same height.

Thanks in advance for taking time to measure the monitor for me.

22"3/8W X 13"3/16H, button area it is 13"7/8H, this is with the bezel.

21"W x 11"7/8H screen only.

how do you make it run on 144hz? in gamer mode if you want to adjust rate to high it doesnt work

is this displayport 1.2 compatible? with an in and out displayport?

Specifications cite only one display port - so no "in and out" daisy chain.  For multiple monitors then, you need a graphics card that supplies the number of DP's (each monitor) you require.  It ain't got all dem display ports homie.

Question 8

Does this monitor have a 1 year warranty or 3 year warranty? A lot of sites have it showed differently. If someone could clear up the confusion it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can you hook this up to a cable box and watch tv? if so, how is the response time? picture, blur from sports?

Yes you can as long as you can do it with an HDMI cable. I assume it would be alright but not what I'm using it for. I'm using it for my computer to play WoT, WoWP, and WoWS. I have no problem with them on it.
