Wall mountable?

There aare no provisions to mount on a wall. The instructions simply show how to attach the stand for desktop use. I do not have any mounted on walls so I am know how the wall mounts work.

Sure is a nice monitor with my dual GTX570's in  SLI and a HDMI cable.

HAS BUILT IN SPEAKERS?

No speakers, but it has a 3.5 mm speaker output jack that goes to either headphone or ear buds, if, you supply the monitor with a HDMI cable. Great monitor but the sound that comes from that jack is not as good as I expected.

Is it made in China?

Don't know where it's made. I returned my unit and replaced it with a Crossover2 monitor. It cost more than the LG but much better for me.

Question 4

I prefer glossy panels over matte, because blacks and colors are deeper, and small text is sharper. Does this panel have a glossy, slightly matte, or fully matte panel? Thanks!

I would consider it a slightly matte.  I really like it vs a glossy screen.  Dust doesn't stick to it like a glossy and you won't be disappointed with the picture quality on this monitor.

Is there a way to purchase a replacement stand only?  I have the monitor, but need the stand portion replaced.

Contact the manufacturer. It's an arduous process but you could be surprised. Some manufacturers charge an arm and a leg, some charge nothing, if only shipping.
