People keep saying no dvi port in the reviews but in the photos it shows a dvi port? 
Does this have a dvi port that works?

IF you notice the original picture of the product above shows only an HDMI, headphone out, VGA in. If you look at the product detail picture below with the same product number it has a DVI input as well as an HDMI, headphone and VGA this is very miss-leading as it has the same product number.

I could not be happier. I like the expanded viewing angle as this is a presentation/demo screen.

I remember looking at both at the time, there wasn't any noticeable difference and if there was a difference it was very slight. I ended up choosing this one over that one because it had everything I wanted and a free 120g SSD hard drive. Win/win! On a side note: It was a huge upgrade for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves it.

since the monitor has a 15 pin analog connector and a HDMI connector, it should work..  you'll need to find the monitor device driver for your Mac Mini..

Can I use this with a 220v converter abroad?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can.  I live in the Philippines (220 volt power here), and I've been using the LG 27MP3HQ-B 27" monitor for more than six months with no problems.  I've been using the Rockstone Power 5000 Watt Heavy Duty Step Up/Down Voltage Transformer, which is massive overkill.  The 500 watt version is more than enough for just this monitor.  But I run lots of other 120 equipment, so that's why I have the larger transformer.

does this produce sound?

No, but it does have a headphone out that outputs the sound delivered via HDMI so you can attach it to powered speakers.  A lot of entry-level monitors don't have this.

can the display tilt, or have a adjustable height ?

It does tilt, there is no height adjustment.  And the base is not very robust- slight movements of the desk the monitor is on introduce a substantial jiggle.  Not unexpected for a 27" monitor with a single plastic support, but should be noted.
