does this work on a mac?

Works great, I have it connected to my MAC Mini, Intel Core i7 with HD4400 graphics via the MAC to DVI adapter. I believe you have to have HD4000 or higher in order to run split screen capability though. I use the system primarily for photo work and iTunes.

How do games that don't support the native 2560 x 1080 resolution look? do they get stretched? letterboxed?

I play Starcraft 2 on my computer and at first the game was stretched but all I had to do was go into game settings and choose the appropriate setting. The screens are gorgeous and I bought them for work to have the extra space. For gaming it will be windowed to the normal dimensions of a screen and there will be space on the sides. It doesn't bother me but I could see how it would bother others.

Would this be MacPro compatible ( the new MacPro ) if not?

- What are the non compatible options
- What options can i use with my MacPro.

It would be compatible with the new Mac Pro via HDMI or you could also buy a thunderbolt to dvi adapter from mono price for like $6.

I don't have a Mac Pro but I use an iMac and have to use the same adapter to plug into my thumderbolt ports...same concept, should be compatible.

This monitor is pretty fluid and cross platform...I haven't had any issues with compatibility yet...
