will a photo of a circle be round or oblong?

circle is a circle when proper resolution is set; you just have bigger area to work with in panoramic sense.  there are times video is not outputted properly causing "stretch" effect giving you the oblong instead of circle. this is the case for all monitors, improper resolution setting causes oblong.

Hello your description says thunderbolt however under specification it does not. So does it have thunderbolt or not?

I don't see a thunderbolt port anywhere. Please contact a customer service rep just in case to double-check. I think they'll correct it if it's brought to their attention.

Question 3

How many HDMI input does it have? The description says 2 HDMI but the picture only shows 1 HDMI, 1 DP and 1DVI. So which one is correct?

It has 2 HDMI inputs. One is seen in the picture. The other is in a recess to the left of the DVI connector. I assume the recessed input is intended to work with a VESA Mount to hang the monitor (somewhat) flush against the wall -- without having to use a funky HDMI connector.

does the 4 way split screen  work with  win 10?

Yes. But it's not 4 different feeds for the monitor in any version of Windows or os x. You're  better off using the snap features in Windows 10.

I can't tell you the difference. I only own the one I ordered. I am pleased with the inputs and the sound is pretty okay for needs. The wide screen is a different experience for me to get used to, in comparison to less wife format screens. I do like it though.  I find that "some" games, such as fallout 4 and skyrim, have to go through a few hoops to display in an acceptable manner.

What is a 4 screen split?

The 4 screen split is set up to have 4 applications automatically sized to fit into the 4 quadrant of the screen when dragged to either quadrant.  Drag the application to the corner you need it and it is set up in that corner of the screen (25% of screen space).  You can do this with up to 4 apps.

Am I correct in assuming you can't split the screen and use 2 different inputs at the same time?

You can split the screen in half down the middle, displaying any two of the inputs at the same time split left to right. These displays can be shown scaled down with a black border along the top and bottom at their normal aspect ratio or they can be stretched to fill their half of the screen with a distorted image. HOWEVER, if you manually set the resolution of your devices to be 1280x1080 (done on the device itself not on this monitor) they will display at full scale native resolution without distortion on either half of the screen.

Audio, however, can only be played from one of the connected HDMI / display ports at a time.

Yes, but be sure to install the monitor software that comes with the monitor. It will allow several different ways to split the screen into two, three or four windows of various sizes. I love this monitor for that reason along with the excellent picture and color quality.

Question 10

Would this pixel density of this be better or smaller than a 24" basic 1080p monitor? Seems like 34" is too big for  less than 1440p

I can't answer the question you asked but I have probably owned 75 different monitors of different sizes, p's, RR's and Hz's.  I have owned two LG's, this 34 inch for several years.  Both are still working and both are very pleasant to look at for hours at the time.  I don't play games on either of them so I can't tell you how graphics are on games but mine work fine for movies, utube video's and streaming local church services .
