Cons: It does not work with the latest version of Windows 10, 18-03. However it works with version 17-09 and Windows 8.1. I am trying to get a fix for it, but no luck so far. Another thing is if it shall be used for UltraHD disks, check the PC first. The requirement is very demanding. Cyberlink BD adviser can be used to check if the PC fulfill he requirement.

Overall Review: Missing a technical support at Newegg to get help with this kind of problem.

Overall Review: I bought this when I built my latest pc as I bought a case with no option for a disk drive. Also neither mine nor my wife's laptops have them anymore, which is fine so for the random times I needed a drive I decided to spring for one. Right off the bat, I am not sure what all others have tried to hit issues with it. I have tried this drive across 5 machines now (granted they were all win10) with no issues at all, and no need for drivers. Noise level wise it is a tab loud when it boots up initially, however it is no louder than any laptop drive I have ever used. It plays dvds and bd's perfectly fine,and comes with a version of power DVD to allow you to actually play BDs and UHDs on your pc. UHDs are rough to get going though, they are really dependant on your computers hardware if you will ever be able to get them going or not. I have seen some complaints about vibration, but I have not noticed anything abnormal. It comes with rubber feet and sots fine on a desk or ontop of a pc tower. The connection is just a standard USB Micro cable. It does not need a cable with 2 USB ends for most usb ports that are able to provide modern power supply to USB peripherals. While I cannot comment on performance on OSX or Linux right now, overall using it I have been happy with the performance. Ripping audio CDs with EAC has actually been faster than any previous drive I have used (however all previous ones were just standard DVD drives). Would recomend this to anyone looking for a external drive for their laptop or tower drive.

Cons: -Included software is several years out of date -It's basically impossible to play 4K Bluray disks on my computer because it doesn't detect Intel SGX (even after turning on in BIOS) and it wants me to use my HDMI port to connect my ultrawide display for HDCP 2.2, but then my monitor will run 50 Hz).

Overall Review: It's ok I guess, but trying to use it to play 4K disks is too much hassle.

Overall Review: I purchased this to backup my physical media UHD 4K disks to my NAS. This drive doesnt disappoint. It needs a firmware sidegrade to turn that on but when I did it, I backed up my collection in no time.

Cons: ...except I could not get "TV Connectivity" to work. The term seems made up, and the LG site doesn't even have a manual for this thing. The spec sheet on the LG product page mirrors that of the instructions provided with the drive: Hold eject button with tray open to toggle TV Mode and "the disk file system will be formatted to FAT32 and recognized as USB flash memory." Which disk file system? There is a disk file system on the drive? On my TV?! Was not recognized by my OLED65C8PUA 65" TV, also an LG product.

Overall Review: This statement from the product print "Enjoy your media on your TVs, digital photo frames and PCs by simply connecting your drive with USB cable." is false.

Cons: The only issue is it is slower than I anticipated. The noise isn't too bad, but might be if it is continuous when watching a movie.

Overall Review: I feel this unit will work okay for me, but I can't really give it a recommendation, or a don't recommend, to someone else not knowing what their main use will be for this unit.

Pros: It is a multi-meda player and burner. Very slow

Pros: Reads and writes CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray. Software plays blu-rays. I haven't tried the software with an ultra-HD blu-ray yet.

Cons: * This drive is excruciatingly slow. Slower than anything I've used in decades for ripping CDs and DVDs. Painfully slow. Did I mention that it is slow. * Micro-USB connector sucks * Uses two USB connectors - one for power and one for data. This means it's not really portable at all. My laptop only has one USB connector - I need to use USB + an adaptor. I may as well have gotten a faster "normal" drive and an external case with its own power supply.

Overall Review: This drive is awful. See the pros and cons above. I wish I would have not bought it. It *does* work but it is slow and not really portable. Stinks to high heaven.
