Question 1

One of the reviews pointed out that the fan cables were to short.  Is this an issue or not?

Absolutely!  They need to be about 2-3" longer.  For me, with a ASRock X99 Extreme11 there was only one fan that couldn't reach (though others barely made it).  Looking at the fan housing, I realized that if you take the fan housing out, un-mount the fan, rotate it, then re-mount that you gained a little bit more cord.  For me, it was just enough to get all the fans connected.  So bottom line, nice case but almost a great case....you might have one fan that can't reach which shouldn't be a problem for cooling, or you may need an extension on the cable, but don't forget to try the fan rotation thing if it doesn't reach as it's not mounted at the right angle to get every last centimeter out of that cord.  If you need the room, don't let that chase you off.  I would buy it again.

Question 2

Can I get a verification on the physical height of this tower? It lists it as 24 3/8" tall, which doesn't seem possible for a case with 12 external 5.25" bays. Seems like it would have to be at least half a foot taller than that, no?

Question 3

Can you put four 5in3 3.5" drive cages in the front of the case? This would result in 20 hard drives in the front.

You should be able to. I'm using 4 x 4in3 drive enclosures in my A79 (ICY DOCK 4 Bay 3.5" SATA Hard Drive Backplane Cooler Cage with 120mm Front LED Fan in 3 x 5.25" Bay - Black Vortex MB074SP-1B)
