Question 1

Can this switch also display computer 1 on one monitor and computer 2 on the other monitor as well?  I would like to switch back and forth to display 2 monitors from one computer as well as display 2 computers simultaneously on the 2 monitors.

No, or if there's a way to do it I haven't figured it out.  There's basically two buttons on the front to switch, or hot key combinations to do some more advanced switching.  But looking through the quick guide again, I still don't see a combination that would show a different PC on each monitor.  (And I've wished it did at times.....)

This is still a great way of setting up dual dual-monitor setups.  Just make sure to get DVI-I cables.

Question 2

Will this work with all functions of a multimedia keyboard (has volume scroll and other audio control buttons) and multi-button mouse (Microsoft Comfort Mouse 6000)? I am having to return a switch I just bought because it will only work with a basic 2-button mouse and standard keyboard.

I have this exact model of KVM switch, although I do not have the exact equipment you have mentioned I do have a Logitech Revolution MX mouse and a Logitech gaming keyboard and the KVM Switch worked with both.  That being said my HP EliteBook and Lenovo T Series laptops have stopped working with this KVM Switch, also a friend who I advised to purchase the  same device has experienced the same issues.  The laptops act as if the drivers stopped working.... I would think twice about this product and maybe purchace a belkin KVM Switch.

I'm running a ubuntu workstation and a windows 8 Os on a laptop.  No problems with either one.

Will this work with a wireless mouse and keyboard combo set?  One USB dongle controls both the mouse and the keyboard.
