Is there a power adapter included?

We ordered this so long ago, I do not recall if it had a power adapter or not. It is still working and we have not had any problems with it so far.

Can you join two of these access points together to create one wireless network? Looking to place one on each side of the building to cover a church.

Yes, you can use WDS built in to link them together, or of your clients won't be roaming very frequently, you could just use the same SSID on both to make them appear seamless to the end-user.
