Hi all, my SE2800 is version 1.1. The green led is always lit when there is a connected device to it - disregarding if it is 1Gb or 100Mb device. This is not consistent with Linksys site (you may search Google against "Getting to know the Linksys SE2800").
Can you check your devices if the green led indicates 1Gb connection only?

The FAQ vaguely confirmed your observation. The FAQ states a good connection will light the green LED up. If you want to confirm 1 GB connection, check your device and see what it has to show 1Gbps connection. Most network adapter on PC can be configured to only do 1 GB connection. Otherwise, there is no good way to know. Secondly, make sure you use a CAT5e or CAT6 cable, which definitely support 1 Gbps.
