Pros: This card has no problem installing in Vista Ultimate x64, regardless of what other people have to say about it. I installed the card, booted the PC, Vista found the card and installed the driver automatically. Detected my network, and allowed me to connect immediately.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: There have been reports of this card not working in x64, but I believe it is because Linksys does not provide a 64-bit driver. The 64-bit driver apparently comes from Microsoft. Who cares who the driver comes from...?
Overall Review: I now own two of these and they both work great. I bought the first one about a year ago and installed it in a tri-boot machine. XP, Vista and Ubuntu. Works fine on all three operating systems. I bought my second one to put in a machine with the Windows 7 beta on. It also installed easily and works great.
Pros: I installed the Linksys WMP54G on an Abit motherboard with a Prescott Pentium IV cpu. It establishes a quick connection with the Linksys wireless router. I am completely satisfied with it's performance. There is very little delay during internet processes. I can tell very little difference between the cable and this wireless hookup. I bought another one for my media center too. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one!
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I might possible upgrade to the N wireless protocol.
Pros: This is a great Linksys Product. Second one I own, b/c gave first one to buddy. Pricey, but Linksys is good quality. Try to avoid using the install CD, by going to linksys.com and getting driver only. Then put device in computer and after Win XP detects it, just use the driver. Windows manages the wireless better than Linksys software. Newegg lightning fast delivery, and was the most recent version Linksys offers. Goto a Best type dealer, and you may get older version of card. Newegg good, other egg bad.
Pros: Very fast! Works well with my Linksys WRT54G router. I dualboot with Vista 64 and Windows 7 RC 64 and it works perfectly. Much faster than my laptop.
Cons: Obviously doesn't work with 64-bit out of the box, download the Ralink drivers (same one for Vista and 7) and it works like a charm.
Overall Review: Core i7 920
6GB DDR 1600 OCZ Platinum
Dual Boot: Vista 64-bit and Windows 7 RC 64-bit
Pros: Bought this for mom's old win98 desktop for her bedroom. I had problems with other wireless and wired networking with the win98 computer, but this worked right away. I have a Linksys router and the computer recognized it right away and I did not have to insert the win98 disk (I had to with other networking products). The range is excellent-the computer is on the 2nd floor and the router is in the basement.
Cons: None-as long as you insert the card into the bottom PCI slot for room for the antenna.
Overall Review: I ordered this product on Tuesday morning and received it late Wednesday afternoon. How does Newegg do it?
