Question 1

I already bought and installed two of these lights, unfortunately the white box that the cables connect in/where the mic is has a blue light in it that disrupts the uv. Does anyone know how to turn that light off?

I ended up de-soldering mine for the same reason just be slow and gentle with low heat if you go that route or take needle nose pliers and crush it carefully my buddy did that cause he didn't want to wait for me to come over still works

How well is the sound sensitivity? Does it react to the computer or just to people?

Not well at all.  You have to hit the case to make it light up. 
I just leave it on
